We support the CDC's recommendation that all kids 6 months and older get COVID vaccine. Both Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines have been approved for children 6 months and older. We are currently referring all vaccine eligable patients to our local pharmacies such as Walgreens or CVS to get their COVID vaccines. Both pharmacies will vaccinate children 3 years of age and older and CVS Minute Clinic will vaccinate children 18 months and older.
We are holding some clinics to administer Moderna COVID vaccines to our patients 6 months through 4 years of age. The Moderna vaccine is a 2 dose series spaced 4-8 weeks apart. Current clinic dates include:
- Wednesday 6/29 (1st dose), Wednesday 7/27 (2nd dose) - 8a-6p [FULL]
- Friday 7/1 (1st dose), Friday 7/29 (2nd dose) - 8a-6p [FULL]
- Friday 7/8 (1st dose), Friday 8/19 (2nd dose) - 8a-5p
*All vaccine clinics are being held at our Deer Valley Road and Scottsdale Road location.
**If you are not able to attend one of these clinics with your child who is under 18 months,
Pleasant Pediatrics is offering vaccines to children and adults of all ages, and appointments can be scheduled on their website.
We are recommending that all currently elegible patients and their parents receive a COVID vaccine. Currently the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines have emergency use authroization for children 6 months through age 17 and are both fully licensed for adults ages 18 and over. The Johnson and Johnson and Novavax vaccines currently have emergency use authorization for adults ages 18 and over. If you have questions regarding vaccination, please schedule a visit with your provider.
