Catherine Poterack, MD
Dr. Catherine Poterack was born in Virginia, but spent her school years in Michigan. After graduating high school, she was accepted into the Intergrated Pre-Med Medical Program (Inteflex) at the University of Michigan Medical School and received her medical degree in 1985. She met her husband, a fellow Inteflex graduate, and they completed their post-graduate training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She was on faculty at the Medical College as an assistant professor in Pediatrics until her husband completed his residency and fellowship in anaesthesiology.
While her husband served in the airforce at Lackland AFB, Dr. Poterack joined the clinical faculty in General Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in San Antonio. Since 1998, she has been practicing Pediatrics in the Valley.
Dr. Poterack is board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She and her husband, Karl, have had the pleasure of raising three children. She enjoys walking her dogs in the beautiful desert landscape, sewing, and traveling.
